God is so good. We found out this morning that we need a new furnace. Dave is home today because there is not enough work and half of the guys are on standby. He was irritated and concerned about the lack of income. The girls (they have bedrooms in the basement) told Dave at breakfast that there was a weird smell down there. He went down to check and said he smelled something that might be natural gas. He called the gas company right away. They told us to get out of the house pronto! We took the pets and went out to our RV in the back yard. The guy from the gas company came out and tested for a gas leak. None. Then the furnace came on and his carbon monoxide detecter went nuts! After taking a close look, he found at least one large crack inside the furnace. I am so thankful for two major things: it's been an extremely warm December, so the furnace has not been running as much as usual. And Dave was home today. If the girls had told me that there was a weird smell, I would have told them to put some water down the utility sink because sometimes that sink stinks if it's been dry for a while. The man from the gas company said that the CO levels were deadly. Now we have to pray for God to supply for the new furnace.
Beautiful..thanks for sharing!!
